This stunning quartz mineral has soft banded areas of red, brown, yellow resembling layers of sand. Mookaite is a sedimentary rock which, like flint, has been formed from the opaline, skeletal remains of tiny creatures deposited in a Ancient Sea. It is found exclusively in Australia and has the Aboriginal range of colours that they used in their paintings, which derive from natural earth colours. Mookaite has extremely soothing qualities when it comes to healing. (I use a Mookaite Wand for healing in Reflexology). Whenever there is an upsetting or nervous experience mookaite will enable a smooth solution to be found. It carries a sense of earthly groundedness and a "no-nonsense" clarity.
